XT 660 R - steering problems

hi, i started to have some steering problems on my bike, it's a 2007 xt 660 r, with only 4500 miles. seems like it's hard to steer, the steering seems to lock in a straight position and i kind of **** myself when i aproach a corner. the tyre pressure is ok, the cables are ok, i don't greenlane and i don't do weelies. i have the bike since it had 2000 miles, and i know the previous owner and he didn't abuse the bike either. oh, and i don't jetwash the bike. does anyone have an ideea where to start looking? can it be the steering bearings so early? thanks for the time

thanks for the reply, well, that's what i tought, is it worth changing myself or should i see the dealer? i changed the triple clamp and bearings on my 640 adventure before, but then i knew the problem... jumped over a car with the 640, head first :tard:, luckily just a brused wrist and a twisted triple clamp on the ktm, but now? no reason for the steering go bust? well see. thanks agais

If you have done it on the 640 the 660 should be a breeze.
