Handguards (sorry)

I know this has been done to death, but can't find an answer when searching.

Looking on the yamaha web site, it states the hand guards are only suitable for up to the 2007 model. Does anyone know if they fit with no adjustment to the 2010?

If not, does anyone have any experience with fitting the acerbis rallye pros? They look good, and are reasonably priced compared to the yams anyway.

For interest, they are purely for keeping the wind off me mitts and not really for protection. However, they are also for a bit of stylee, so the acerbis are scoring points for me as well.

Any help much appreciated

The yamaha/acerbis ones arent the best for keeping the weather off your hands. Think it might be best to get something with more plastic on it.

First of all, Yamaha handguards are actually Yamaha branded Acerbis Really pro.

I mounted Acerbis Supermoto handguards on my 2009 xtx... i personally liked this design more then rally pro and they have this metal thingy that looks more promising then just a peace of plastic. https://www.ktm-parts.com/mm5/graphi...1/06350489.jpg

It wasn't just take it out of box but nothing to hard.
Once you remove exiting Bar ends from steering wheel there is a problem with main bolt nut. it is to big to fit in hole. so i just laminate it a little bit from every side and it fitted perfectly.

But, when i compare my mounting kit and mounting kit for Really pro there is a lot of different. really pros looks a lot like original Yamaha bar end, I cant be 100% sure but i really think you wont have any problems with mounting them...

hope it helps

ahhh, sorry, forgot to mention, 2010 xtx. Those supermoto ones looks sweet though. How did you take the bit of the inserts, filed by hand? If so, then they are do-able, but I have no machinery to do any serious grinding:(

I might also look at the touratech ones as they look quite good.

Cheers for replies and pictures!

All the pieces are standard by Acerbis, nothing filed by hand.

Ciao.
