WB Tailtidy Fitted with Staintune Exhausts

3 Attachment(s)
Well, thanks greatly to excellent service from Worrybrother, I received my tailtidy the other day and managed to get some time to fit it last weekend.
Apparently, WB's tailtidy has never been fitted with the type of exhausts I have (staintune) so it was a bit of guess work as to how it would go.

In the end, very happy with the result. The tailtidy did require some significant modification (sorry WB...) to fit as the exhausts sit relatively close together. In the end, essentially had to raise the indicator mounting holes (did this by modifying and using the stabilising brackets supplied with the tailtidy), and in addition had to bend the sides in to stop the bracket fouling the exhausts. Lastly had to space both the exhausts out approximately 3mm.
In the end, looks great in my opinion, very happy with the product supplied by WB and the end result (even if I did have to somewhat butcher it ;)).

Yeah I know :icon_redface: bit of a trial and error in the end, no other real option as the cans are pretty close together.

As to the exact steps...basically the existing indicator holes fouled the cans once the indicators were installed, so my remedy was to utilise the stays you provided to increase the height of the holes for the indicators. Essentially the stays are bolted inside the tailtidy using the lower holes (i.e. as they were designed but swivelled right up inside the tailtidy) so that the upper holes sit higher than the original indicator holes. I also needed to flatten out the stays somewhat as you can see.

Other than that, some slight bending of the side tabs was required to fit inside the cans, and I cut the bottom of the tidy off as prefer the look of the number plate on it's own without reflector etc underneath. Throws a bit of spray on my Ventura bag in the wet but nothing major, don't ride in the wet too much if I can avoid it anyway.

Other than all that....installed as per instructions! ;)

PS clearances are very tight, ~3mm either side of the pipes (and that's spacing the pipes out 3mm each side also), been on there for several months now and ridden daily, going great.

Cheers
