polishing and pimping
 

I was wondering if anyone knows if the header pipes on the xtx can be polished up as they have gone a bit brown and scummy and don't really look right going into my new polished exhausts. Are the header pipes coated in anything which may be damaged while cleaning them up? Has anyone else shined up the pipes? How did it come out and what did you use.

Secondly does anybody know of any aftermarket decal kits to replace the original yamaha/ xtx ones you can get for the bike. I wouldn't mind something a bit different from the standard xt graphics to make the bike stand out.

If I'm not mistaken I'm sure I recall Captmoto saying he used brillo or cif or some other household cleaner with no ill affect. I'm sure he'll be allong soon to correct me if I'm wrong.
