Samolis70,
There are 2 different Tail Tidies made, dependant upon what type of exhaust you have. If you have std exhausts OR after market ones but still full length then there is 1 tail tidy. The other is for owners with stubbie exhausts such as the CCC ones. Then there are 2 different rear LED lights. One clear Motrax one with no number plate light as standard, for which i place (stick) a motrax led tail light on. The other is a new Red rear LED light (DRC) that does come with the number plate light built into it. Also, where yoour original wiring harness connections are for the existing tail light, with my light conversion i have bought the wiring loom connections off Yamaha so my rear light conversion fits directly into the existing YAM loom, so no need to cut or replace connections. What you get is a Tail Tidy made specifically for the YAm XT X or R, the Rear LED light and the correct YAM loom to connect it all up. What makes it look so much better is after market LED indicators as with the Motrax ones the wiring for the indicators comes through the stem of the indicator, so with the holes made in the tail tidy it makes it look better, rather than having the std indicators on whereby the wire goes around the tidy and not through the hole. Furthermore, to finish it off 100% a new number plate, preferably a 7 x 5 one just to finish it ff. The lettering on a 7 x 5 plate means the letters/numbers are 1 7/8 inches in size, just 1/8 off legal so as long as you dont have non std Font then you will be left alone. The price for the Tail Tidy is 55 for either one plus postage, which i would say is around 5 Max, so 60 give or take a 1 or so either way. What you will have to do is take a saw to the under seat plastics to allow this tidy to fit, no different to what you would have to do with the Off the Road one. I have the necessary pics and are more than happy to talk you through it before and during the operation as i have done with quite a few other forum members. Have a look in the Vids/Pics section Cheers WB |
