Not sure mate, but www.off-the-road.de do a large tank kit for the XT660... I think it's 26 litres.

Get a top Box and have it sealed/welded, fit stronger brackets to support it and use it as an auxiliary tank, hey presto! :laughing6:

That OTR tank looks pretty sweet :blob10:

Which desert were you planning on riding through BTW?

Mmm.. does look good 26ltr. Sahara Moroco to Mali (Timbuktu) inland and return along coast road from Dakar.

Yes, John that was a joke!!, I don't see the need for a larger tank on these bikes unless you are going to be running in next Paris / Dakar in which case the anser to your question might be this one:

These OTR ( http://www.off-the-road.de/xt660.html?&L=1) tanks are a tasty solution but I was just thinking; the XT's quite front heavy already (based on that footage of someone jumping his XTR), can you imaging it with 26ltrs of fuel sloshing about in front of you too?

If anyone's got one of these I'd love to hear what it does to handling :110:

I dont reckon theyre that front heavy, mine jumps ok, just gotta give it some big throttle just before take off otherwise, as with any bike the front dips and makes you do an aerial endo!!
