Youve 3 options

get a bigger fuel tank. Only place ive heard of is off the road but thats 1000E plus as youve seen. Acerbis did say they where thinking of designing a larger fuel tank for the R a while ago but then the tenere came out so i think they binned that idea

or

carry a 5 litre can of fuel.

or

stop more often/plan your larger runs around towns/petrol stations

I guess there is one more option. Replace your exhaust with 2-in-1 and replace the other rear can with a fuel tank. This should give you perhaps 5L extra fuel in a neat package. If you feel like it, you can even route it so that you don't have to manually fill the main tank from it.

That's what I would do anyway.
