Nearly finished
Front and rear wheel have been finalized. Front brake system is nearly finished (only brake hose still missing, but brake hose routing has already been installed). Rear brake disk and sprocket installed. Next week everything will be legalized with tire dimensions 130/80-17 and 140/80-17 optionally (no specific tire types restrictions). After that I will pay the good work, register it and thats it (for now, since fork will need internal review and setup).
Will soon be able to provide some better shots hopefully. |

Well done
Hi mate
you've made a great bike there fella do you know how much it weighs now? |
Quote:
Unfortunately I do not have an acurate weight for it all. I can tell, the front wheel compared to stock front wheel (including brake disks) is _a lot_ lighter. Also rear wheel is considerable less weight. But all in all there is not much of weight saving. Fork and triple clamps are similar to stock parts. The new exhaust does save a bit, however. I would guess it probably lost around 6kg or so, but I have no trustworthy data right now. Our old bathroom scale I used to weigh my motos went out of order. UPDATE: just found my own old post at advrider: "Bike without side cases, without lower mounting clamps and without passenger foot rests but with upper case mounting bars installed: 191kg incl. approx. 8l of gas" This was with stock exhaust, so subtract some few kg. The mounting bars mentioned are part of the Yamaha luggage system. Phil |
