Hi,

has anyone used a Nitro x fuel modification switch.............is it effective? Which is better, the nitro or pc3 for smooth low down running/ throttle response?

CaptMoto 06-12-09 20:59

don't bother it's a load of old.... b l x, if you don't want to spend money on the power commanders we suggest the only better alternative is the Kev Mod

Just seen this nitro x on ebay, how can they say it dose all the stuff it dose if it a load of Crap?

30 quid dose seem cheap

Kev 08-12-09 22:18

The most gain I have ever seen with any fuelling device is around 2 to 2.5 HP gain.
I have covered how this fuel controller works in detail in a past post & know 100% it will not produce the HP figures that they claim. It will how ever be able to adjust the fuel mixture across the whole rev range on the XT.

hi, will the kev mod produce a similar effect in cutting the surging?

i have actually ordered a kev mod and am waiting to fit it - i already have a stage 2 filter........ do i also need to adjust the TPS to reduce surging even if I'm fitting kev mod and have upgraded filters?

What about the tps?

where are you in londinium capt moto?

CaptMoto 10-12-09 22:48

Yes I am in London,

The TPS is adjusted separately, we have a thread that tells you how to do it, click here: http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=56

Kev 11-12-09 01:12

The XT will surge less if the TPS is set to 16, it will surge more if the TPS is set to 18 & above.

Don't forget to rest your idle speed after you have adjusted your TPS.

The two fuel controllers are connected in the exact same way through the air temp sender, they both fool the engine ECU by reducing the air temp down. The Kev mod is fully adjustable through a variable resistor across the whole resistance range, the Nitro X has preset resistance values switched through a switch panel & can not be fine tuned.

It would be an individuals choice to which one you would perfer to do the job.
