Akrapovic slip on series

Hi, I am new to the site and need help/advice! I have fitted akrapovic slip on series silencers to my XT660X 2009 reg. I was wondering is it possible to remove the baffles to get some extra noise, without too much 'spannering' and damage to the silencer itself?

Any advice gratefully received,
Ian.

The baffle is secured by a small bolt accessible by removing the rubber bung at the rear under the exit. They should then just "pull out" though they can be tight and may require some force. That said mine werent but I removed them before using so didnt get carboned in. I ended up fitting them back in as they were too noisy for my tastes ie didnt really allow for stealthy progress and my garage is next to a stables.

The baffles in mine have never been in, but I think if they are, taking them out is as simple as unscrewing the little screw at the bottom of the can and pulling them out.

Enjoy the sound! They're the best! :laughing6:

I used a mid way. I cut internally the db killer and modified externally the holes. The result is for me very good. Originally the holes was of 1.2 mm. Now are 2.7 mm. As already said. the sound is in a midway between originally and without db killer. For me is good. Best regards by Gianni.
