er 1 & er 2 - ECU internal malfunction

engine cannot be started with these error codes on dash

try to clean up connectors on display unit and ECU ... most likely they have corroded due water ingress

this all makes sense, last weekend went out got soaked then got home and never went out untill this weekend, then all my problems started. This is a little worrying to think a lot of rain can do this, what am i meant to do to prevent it happening again.

cover your bike with something when raining outside ... use wd-40 or perhaps vaseline/petroleum gel on all contact surfaces of exposed electrical equipment, connectors, etc to prevent corrosion and water penetration ...

I ride all year round in some bad weather, after having electrical problems on my VFR due to corrosion of contacts, it's worth me going over the loom with some petroleum jelly waterproofing all electrical plugs and contacts.

Dabbing some grease on external bolt heads does no harm either. I don't think it's a particular flaw of any bike but water is a ****** and can randomly cause all sorts of grief.

I had this problem last year ,the clocks seem to be the problem ,the rubber bung behind the clocks seem to leave water in somehow ,but even that did'nt work with mine in the end they replaced the clocks and the wiring loom as that was faulty also
Once it has dried out it will be fine but get the dealer to check it as when it rains it will keep happening
