Co2 Emissions for the Tenere

Does anyone know the Co2 emissions for the 09 Tenere?

I know its not a desperately interesting and thrilling question but of interest to me due to the fact that our local government are planning on bringing in taxes based on Co2 emissions. It seems impossible to find this info on the interweb or from any hanbook or publication that I have looked at to date.

I know that in the past motorbikes have had a bad rap for high emission but now they have to comply with EU restrictions (at the point of leaving the factory at least) so somebody out there must know.

With modern FI and CATs the emission must be right down when compared to the older bikes. Car info is easy to come by just with a quick search using google, but not so for motorbikes.

I am sure this info will come out but potentially persons unable to offer manufacturer data regarding their vehicle emissions will have to pay to have their bike/car tested, and that ain't cheap when compared to what should be freely available data.

Hope someone can help.

Cheers

The french government did the same last year.

Taxing vehicules ont CO2 emissions.
But as this information is not available for motorcycles, only car/van/trucks are charged on this basis.

Motorcycles are still taxed on a bhp basis.

Bikes are already taxed based on co2 emissions here in Spain, so this information must be available somehow. In fact, as they initially used the same scale for bikes and cars, bike taxes got dramatically reduced last year. They have fixed it and created another scale for bikes.

I remember the xt660 was classified on the lowest tax level

Didn't they just get rid of the road tax at the end of 2007 and put a tax on fuel instead?

Seems a bit odd they're looking to potentially reverse this already but then that's CI politics for you, nothing's changed since I left :)

Ah yes thats right they did get rid of motor tax but then came the dreaded 'Zero Ten' and the current 100 million pounds finacial black hole. So this is easy money and apparently not road tax but a green tax.

A friend once told me that anyone who desires to become either a politician or a policeman should imediately be banned from doing so!:laughing9:

The pegaso (same motor) euro 3 is checked for CO and not CO2 (in Germany any way) and CO levels are 1.6

you can look for your bike emission values in this file on page 540 is the pegaso so the YAM should be somewhere after it
