After 20 kilometers: Big smile :thumbsup[1]:on my face. I notice a better gasresponse at higher revs. Smooth and stable driving under 3000 rpm. Overall worth the money. I only need to see what the modification does to the tires:toothy10: and fuelconsumption. But that will become clear this weekend in Germany after 3 days in the Westerwald. I will report after this weekend.

Good results after 1000 km (3-day) trip. Smooth rides when riding on or under the 3000 rev area. When pulling out of a hairpin more power and more eager to get to higher speeds. Much better response in the hairpin (less need to change gear). The bike is getting faster to higher speeds than previously. Fuel consumption is at 22,5 km on 1 ltr. Not much change there. On the 4000 revs (change from closed loop to open loop) there is still a little stutter. So i'm not sure what exactly the O2 controller does. Must see when riding when disconnected. On the whole I'm pretty happy.

Fuel Mod

Hi all,

I have fitted Kev's fuel mod this weekend and found it makes a huge improvement on low down grunt and general driveability.
The bike is 2010 5K on clock twin Akra's and K&N filter, but felt that it was restricted and lacked the oomph a big single should have.
Easy to fit and setup, if you're in any doubt, its well worth doing.

Thanks Kev.

Thanks for all the feed back guys, I will keep making the mods as long as there is a demand for them.:wav:

thanks Kev

spectacular results with stage1, 2 ,the O2 controller and the kev mod at 5 to make it all work!
:WellDone_OROQR1:
and it works :)
I was hoping for this result , because the stock bike was a big dissapointment, I thought about selling it because it was lazy, dull and slow. All this changed, and I am happy with it now.

If I can sort the buffeting with the givi spoiler i ordered , than this is going to be my all time favorite bike... :eusa_liar:

well maybe if I upgrade the suspension... :no[1]:

cheers,
Wigo

Hi Kev,
I'd an issue two weekends ago with the bike where it started to run rough and conk out. Both times it happened when high (in relative terms, Mount Hotham and Falls Creek).

Managed to get it started, keep it running and limped into hotham. Problem cleared as started to head down to Bright. I thought it might have been dirty fuel as had only recently topped up the tank.

Next day same thing happened on getting in to Falls Creek. Got bike towed and brought to nearest Yamaha dealer . Its been with them since and they can find no issues.

Could bike be running too rich when at height due to fuel mod?

Thanks, apologies if a dumb question or has been covered before.
