noticable difference?
Im thinking of fitting a power commander to my 07 xtx and was wondering if doing so will give me any noticable differences to the way the bike runs. I have a set of scorpion end cans fitted and dna stage 1 & 2 filters aswell as the kev mod. Will fitting the commander finally get rid of the surging problem at low revs? has anyone fitted a power commander and noticed any difference??
thanks for any help! |
surely someone has done this mod? I,m waiting as well mate.

Sorry, I must of missed this one.
Some of the 07/08 ECU's are a pain to get right, I ran a Power Commander on my 07 XTX for 11 months, it does help reduce the surge but does not fix it completely. You will get a better result with a Power Commander then with my fuel mod when you are trying to remap a pacific area in the rev range. A Power Commander will help as long as you get a custom fuel map made for your bike. |
thanks kev,my local dynojet dealer wants 400 to supply and set up my 07 bike ,if i,d known i would have had it done before big trip. HMMMM! i wasn,t sure if it would be any better ,especially on the inner loop , 30/40 mph in 3rd.gear is impossible, but 4th gear is okay but labouring the engine.Grrrrrr makes me mad.

400 is a big investment, I bought a power commander fitted it and used one of the custom maps of this website and the difference is massive! Almost zero surging so far but I will have to take it for a longer ride out to be sure. You won't regret getting one as I was almost at the point where I was going to sell the bike as the surging was so bad. I use my bike for commuting through town everyday so I'm always in that low rev range doin about 30mph.

A Power Commander is the best fuelling device by far. I would not ride a bike without one. :icon_bigsmurf:
