Bad news Capt.

The screws no worky! :googly[1]:

The new 'longer' screws are shorter than the originals. So I have no new bling fitted to my bike.

Original screw thread length is 12.65mm + 2.02mm for plate new screws need to be 14.65mm +/-

Any help getting the correct screws appreciated otherwise I have a useless silver plate sitting in my toolbox. :013:

Have the same prob as Stinky Pete - supplied screws are too short :-(

Ok guys one of you said it fitted perfectly so the screws that don't fit are for the Tenere or also for the XTX/XTR I will get the German to send the correct screws free of charge by speedy courier, let me know please. Remember this is not my fault but i will do all my best to get it sorted, rest assured.

Guys I have just sent an email to the manufacturer asking to rectify this problem asap as you can see in the email below:

I take full responsibility and unless you want to wait for the screws back I am willing to refund you all if you send me the plates back.

Dear Heiko please note that the screws for the XT660Z Tenere are too short and don't fit, The other ones for the XT660X / XT660R fit perfeclty and all the guys are happy with them, but I now have 4 Tenere owners who are upset with me that the screws are too short, please can you rectify this by sending 4 sets of screws which are the correct lenght?

please send them by the fastest possible way and I am also disappointed because now I will have to pay for another 4 postage fees to these guys.

Please let me know asap.
