Steering Damper

I`ve heard u can get a steering damper to stabilize your bike at 160 km/hr.Feels like your back tyre is going down.

You don't really need a steering damper. All I do is move a bit back on the seat at high speeds, and don't grip the handlebars too tight.

I've done 20k km with XTR . At any speed I haved never observe a wobble tendency. According to me xt is a very stable bike.

You have obviously not driven in the south easter in cape Town South Africa !

Hunday the tip to sit further back on the bike when at high speed really does help, as well as the tip to not hold onto the handle bars too hard when at speed. Try it and you will see the difference.
As far as the Southeaster, can be pretty strong and not too sure how much a damper would help with that?
I must admit that my bike never used to have any high speed problems even over 100mph but since changing my tyres I have a wobbly front end and I have to sit further back when going anything more than about 85mph.

I also found that after doing Kev's suspension mod, where you install little spacers to harden up the suspension, helped a lot with the stability.

Talking about handling,I was surprised to see how well our bikes handle with a passenger on board.(Compared to lifting with a Quad)

I was doing 170km yesterday on a track with a strong side wind and didn't even notice it, i was sitting back on the seat with my head right down and a relaxed grip on the bars :-)
