Which CCC?
Hi all, I've been looking at the CCC cans and I'm very much interested. couple of questions though. How loud are they? I had a Harley Sportster with screamin' Eagle pipes and I wouldn't the XT to be any louder. Also is there much difference between the titanium and stainless apart from price?
THANKS. T. |
What colour is your bike? Mine is orange and the Stainless steel ovels look great :drool[1]: CCCs are know where near as load as a Harly so no worries there! Just be aware that people have had issuse with CCC since they have been taken over!

Ive a set of CCC S/S full length round cans and they are loud even with the baffles in and with them out can only be compared to a Dakar race bike.
I got mine before the change in management so they where delivered in time but still i got the wrong clamps but 2 days and the corect ones where sent out. Great cans really in my opinion. The difference in S/S and titanium is price as you say but also weight. The problems people have are with oval cans are they dont seem to sit square and when the suspension near bottoms out the rear tyre rubs on the clamps/exhaust. The new problems as stated are with deliveries, getting the order correct, wrong this that and other and missing bits. |

This post has been moved in the Exhausts section as it was posted in the private XT Supporter area where regular members could not see it. I think this subject is for everyone's attention and should be in the public area.
Thanks for understanding. |
Hey Capt quite right!
Thanks for the info folks. These delivery issues have me worried. I've checked the photos I love the pipes and for the money you can,t beat them but a cheaper product is no excuse for poor service. |

I think I have said it a few times, but I'll say it again so we all understand what is going on.
Up until CCC was owned by Simon Cope, we enjoyed a fantastic service, from a very professional point of view Simon Cope never, and I mean NEVER disappointed anyone who purchased his cans. Delivery times were shockingly fast (within UK of course we are talking next day, bang on target) But not just that, we all know that sometimes things can go wrong, and a few clamps have know to have snapped or were the wrong size, on these occasions Simon would send new sets free of charge with the same speed. We've had a member that (we believe he didn't know how to fit these properly, namely ManicMic) managed to snap 3 or 4 clamps and all the times Simon sent him a new set. Finally Simon never sent his cans out without all the correct number of clamps. Although of late Simon had a problem with the link manufacturers and experienced some delay in receiving these, we know it was never his fault. Unfortunately since the take over from Simon Cope to the new owner, things have taken a different turn, clamps had been missing, deliveries were delayed, specially abroad, and now he is not replacing a lost set which he sold to Mithyx and he is getting pretty rough with him in his email exchanges. Now I only ever allow sponsoring of products in here when I am happy that the company is able to keep up reputation, from the moment I met the new ower I had a gut feeling that I wouldn't get on with him, and that things were going to change. I need to let you also know that, while me and Simon Cope could be considered as friends, because we have known each other from day one of this forum, we had this gentleman's agreement that I wouldn't ask him for any money in return for the publicity and the sponsoring of the cans provided he kept the standards that he did with our members, I was happy, and on top of that Simon looked after me quite nicely by letting me have a couple of set of new cans, which happened on 2 occasions. Myself not being greedy I then passed on the other cans to my closest associates here, Kev and Miguel. Now things were different I wasn't that friendly with the new owner and the standard have dropped so I have decided to wash my hands of him and CCC, and while I declare the cans are still as good as they used to be, the after sale service isn't, hence I could not accept that our members were treated unfairly and I wish CCC all the best for the future but the present is not looking good for a cooperation with us, which is why we don't sponsor them anymore. Those who continue to buy from CCC must understand that I am not speaking with the new owner anymore and if you have a problem with him I can't help you resolving it anymore as I was able in the past. Like Miguel said good luck :warning1: |
Hey Capt. Thanks for the heads up. It must be tough for your friend to see the companys reputation take battering. Damn shame. I think someone else will be getting my money.

Just started a batch of cans this week, but have got the same old link pipe problem, really slow delivery times as there are only a couple of companies that can bend small diameter pipe to the standard of finish that I require.
If anyone needs cans without connector pipes just let me know, range is a bit limited at the moment as I haven't got masses of stock just yet, I have run out of room at home and won't be in my unit for 2-3 weeks. Also just sent Keithblade some more clamps as I was let down by a friend who should have sent the 37-40 clamps last week (plenty in stock now). Should have another dyno in the new year again + a 4 wheel drive car dyno. New business is called POWERTECH, my number is 07899 771944, will have landline when I move into the unit. Simon Cope (making cans again) Powertech |
p.s.
Have a look on the Pistonheads forum and see how pleased those boys are that I'm back in business (TVR Tuscan section) p.p.s Dynojet have solved the surging problem with a little plug in box of tricks, should be in production soon. Simon Powertech |
Welcome back Simon, it is great to have a person that understands bikers & what they want. I am sure everyone is looking forward to seeing your great value for money products again.
What range of Cans are you offereing? Cheers Kev |
Welcome back into the fold, we are more than excited to give you all the support here and rebuild a steady clientele, after all, people here will always need new cans. Yet the problem with the link pipe delivery needs sorting once and for all, where do other UK manufacturers get their link pipes?

my original CCC's are still going strong. Shame about the old company, but all the best with the new. I'll make a note for the future.

I must admit capt that i thought something was going wrong with ccc.Everyone was bigging them up and all i heard was complaints in the forum. To be honest im happy with my CCC cans NOW but when i got them i was really pissed off.The cans had weld splater over 1 of them which i managed to polish out.The main problem i had was that the link pipes where too long! i had to cut them down to fit.If i hadnt had the equipment to do this i would have (maybe should have) sent them back.
Over all im happy with the sound and performance of the CCC cans BUT if you can wait a little while i would as there are always nice cans/better cans popping up on ebay.If id have waited an extra couple of weeks id have seen a set of akrapovics on ebay and they went for only 285!!!!! I paid 300 for my CCC cans! Give it a couple of weeks mate and keep your eye on ebay,i know there are a couple of sets on there now so take a look. Good luck with ya search. |

You see Powerfreak this is what I am referring to when I say that due to the unsatisfactory quality of service provided by the new owner, things have taken a bad turn between CCC and us. I find it unacceptable that link pipes are sent in the wrong length and to learn now that you've had to cut them down, it's just wrong! This would have never occurred when Simon Cope was running the company. It shows the new owner doesn't exactly understand what he is doing if he is measuring the link wrong, not sending enough or correct clamps and when you tell him about it he gets all arsey. I can't have that. Hopefully Simon will soon be getting into gear and once again things will pick up for the customers and for him. |
