water crossings

just wondering how the xtr copes with deep water crossings, and what to seal up ,if anything.

If your considering doing a few water crossing i would take the tank off and seal up the block connectors to the left to help stop the corrision/water ingress.

Apart from that drop it down a gear and plough on:happy8:

I would make sure the air box lid is water tight with snorkel installed & the engine breather system is completely water tight.

I would remove the fuel tank, left frame side cover & unplug the connectors then spray every electrical connector with a water repellent spray.

I used to race enduro's for many years & encountered river crossings so be prepared or you will be pushing.

Here is one of me on my RMX250.

Thanks i,ll do that today.
There are 1600 bridges over 2500mls,so there,ll be plenty of water on this trip.
The worse thing is the surging between 10/15 mph. GRRRR!
