Better brakes on my R.

Hi All,
I would like to upgrade the brakes on my '07r. I bought it purely as a road bike so going off road isn't a concern. I'll have the brake lines braided but I'd like to fit a bigger or better front disc can anyone help.

Nothing so far I want as much info as I can get before I proceed so I can do as much in one go as I can.

Not too sure about this, ive heard of people changing the wheels of the R to the X but changing the disc over to the X was never in there as they just changed the disc over to keep things simple/cheaper.

Im sure someone somewhere will have done it but it mind be expensive:bounce016:

Thanks for the info guys. I've found a company called talon engineering that offer a brake upgrade, has anyone tried they're stuff.

hi all,

i have a '05 XTR, and a guy offered me a supermoto wheel's, specially build for this type of motor.
then i thinked, its totally worthless without a better brake!

the aftermarket new brake system...the price is horror ~1000 euro+brake disc....i think thats way too much.
then came the idea, find a totaled bike, with a good brake system, fit it with a brake caliper bracket, 320 disc. this way is far cheaper and better too. if i succeed, i will write a how to ;)
